The Ninety-Nines, Inc. is an international organization comprised of over 5000 student and licensed women pilots from 35 countries (including the United States). Founded November 2, 1929, at Curtiss Field, Valley Stream, Long Island, New York, the 117 women pilots of the time were invited to assemble for mutual support and the advancement of aviation. Amelia Earhart was elected the first president in 1931 and the organization was named for the 99 charter members. Membership immediately opened to other women as they became licensed pilots. Today, membership is open to any woman possessing a student pilot license or greater.
Located on Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma are The 99s' International Headquarters (www.ninety-nines.org) and Museum of Women Pilots (www.museumofwomenpilots.com). The museum includes archival records, personal artifacts, video oral histories and much more.

| Celebrating our 50th Anniversary |
|
|
We celebrated the 50th anniversary of our chapter charter on November 4, 2007. Using the venue of the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Dallas-Love Field as a back-drop, we were joined by Ft. Worth and Golden Triangle chapter members and many guests. We were also privileged to have The 99s' International President, Pat Prentiss, join us. After a buffet dinner catered by Campisi's, our featured speaker was Colonel Kim Olson (USAF, Retired).

We are involved in aviation as instructors, glider, charter, corporate, airline and helicopter pilots, and experimental aircraft builders. We fly in support of breast cancer research as breast cancer affects one out of every eight women and many of our members (www.ninety-nines.org/breastcancercure), and in support of charitable organizations such as Angel Flight (www.angelflightsc.org) and Challenge Air (www.challengeair.com).
We fly Young Eagles (www.youngeagles.org) to bring the world of aviation to young people, participate in air races (www.airraceclassic.org, www.sportairrace.org, along with others) and poker run/rallys (www.ninety-nines.org/calendar), and for the sheer fun and enjoyment of flying.
