Various scholarships are available through The 99s. Several of our chapter members are past winners of the Amelia Earhart scholarship. Most recently in 2006, Sarah Ranstrom won the Future Woman Pilot scholarship. Application requirements and deadlines are available at www.ninetynines.org.
Locally, the Dallas chapter offers two scholarships: a Chapter Scholarship valued at $700 and a Future Woman Pilot (FWP) Scholarship valued from $100 - $300 (depending upon the number of applicants and cost of the checkride). Application requirements include 1) active member within the Dallas chapter for the past six (6) months; 2) minimum of 125 hours logged for the Chapter Scholarship; 3) minimum of cross-country sign-off for FWP Scholarship; 4) current medical and flight review (if applicable). Application deadlines are March 15th and September 15th annually.
