Girl Scout Aerospace Badges

We anticipate holding an event in the near future to help a local troop earn their Aerospace badges.  Contact Holly Barr for further information (email address listed under 'Contact Us').

Flying Companion Seminars

Do you know anyone who has questions like "What makes that thing fly?" or "What are those knobs and buttons for?"
We hold an all day seminar on topics such as Aerodynamics; Radios and Communications; Basic Instruments; Weather, Basic Instruments; Weather; Navigation; How to read a chart; Pre-flight planning; Pre-flighting an actual airplane; and, in-flight situations.

Come enjoy a relaxing day with others who have some of the same questions.  Start the day with coffee or juice and light breakfast foods.  We'll have lunch and, at the end of the day, leave you with reading materials (including "The Right Seat") to review and talk about with your Flying Companion.  Small classes allow you to tell us what your experience is, what your needs may be, and how we can help.

Please contact us if we can provide one of our seminars for your group.

Airmarking

True to our roots of the earliest airmarkings prior to World War II, we go to airports throughout the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex and paint a compass rose or the airport name/frequency, depending upon the airport's request.

Community Fly-Ins

Cooking sausage and pancakes for 500+ people at Mid-Way Regional Airport (JWY) at their annual fly-in, June 2006.

Poker Runs

Our members have a vast wealth of knowledge and experience in holding Poker Runs.  We have compiled that information into a manual so you, too, can host a successful Poker Run.  The cost for each copy is US $20 plus shipping.  For further information and/or to order a copy, contact Holly Barr (email address listed under 'Contact Us').
